The Lewis Machine Tool ("LMT") backup sight is a product which I am interested in.  Having recently acquired an LMT 16" upper, I would like to obtain a backup sight to use on the rifle.  Keeping my upper as "LMT" as possible seems like a good concept.

I like the fact that the LMT sight sits up high (or appears to in photographs).  However, I am concerned that it will block the use of optics (which seems to negate the purpose of having a backup sight).

Am I correct in this assumption?

I want to either use the sight with an ACOG or a EO-tech.
