I have one of these on order and I am curious how many people here have them. If so how do you have yours set up are any used for duty or are they moor of a hobby gun. I still have not decided on what optic I am going to get yet but I'm going with the troy folding sights.

Thats what I'm talkn bout happy switch out of my price range though Is that yours.

Have 2 of em. One CQB and one rifle length. Rifle length is 18" SS for fun. CQB is 14.5" for duty/social control. Using Swarovoski 1x6Z6i on the rifle length and AImpoint M3 on the CQB w/ TROY BUIS & FR.

There is a tacked thread all about the Mrp at the top of Rifles Uppers Barrels and More Section. It's like 30 Pages long. I would link it for you if I knew how.

Got a Defender MRP CQB on order which I is scheduled to ship today....I hope. I think I am going to throw a ACOG on it.

Is the upgrade just a barrel and bolt. From what I have read so far the uppers are the same. I'm I correct on this Nice set up. I have an Eo x3 on my 15T and realy like it. You getting an EO or aimpoint.

Got my LMT Defender MRP CQB 16" today............it is a beauty!
10 to 12 days from the time I ordered it from the dealer, but the dealer had them on order prior to my order so I am not sure what the actual lead time was.
What kind of pricing are you seeing on the LMT MRP? |
They havn't got the invoice yet so I dont know but they said it would be a little less then the LMT list price on LMT site. I got the cqb mrp uper with 16 cl barrel and the Defender Lower with SOPMOD Stock and Two Stage Trigger, + charging handle and the bolt and carrier group I chose. I think they are ordering it from LMT I need to call and check though.
That was the same setup I got. IM me....I'll tell you what I got mine for.
Thats pretty close to mine. Just a few different accessories, and a similar, but different scope. |
Its a nice configuration...did you find that the barrel bolts needed alittle extra torque coming from the factory or the point of aim was off abit? |
have you popped out the barrel and tried any of their 6.8mm conversions? Was thinking about going this way depending upon ammo availability.. I went with the upgraded nickel bolt.. this gun really spits out the carbon but so far after a few K in rounds..no function issues.. |
Oh jeez, thats not even the half of it The gun to the right of the MRP is an all LMT MK18 clone. The gun second from the right (with those new Magpul pannels and the Foliage furniture) is a 6.8 SBR.
What I got was a Defender 2000 LMT CQB MRP 16" barrel with SOPMOD - a little over $1600 with tax. |
I'm thinking I will probably go with an ACOG, but I just can't make up my mind on an optic yet so many choices
I picked up a TA01NSN from The Optic Zone. Nice people to deal with!
Spikes tactical is considering a .22lr or 9mm barrel and bolt. 50 I want ones make it happen. E-mail him your contact info if interested.

I HAVE 1 AND I HAVE A PISTON CONVERSION ON ORDER...LOVE IT!!!!
Mine just arrived today I hope to shoot it this weekend nice set up TeJota1911

I bought the MRP upper a few weeks ago from a local guy thru EE. Just ordered my lower yesterday (thanks Dennysguns/GTS) and hoping it's here by the weekend.
when I bought the upper, I got the CQB MRP w/ 16" 5.56 as well as a 16" 6.8 barrel and enhanced BCG. probably will sell the standard 16" 6.8 (just posted it in the EE used section) and go ahead and order the 18" SS barrel in the 6.8 instead. have a simmons scope for the 6.8 and will mount something like an Eotech on it when the 5.56 barrel is on it. ordered a defender 2000 lower w/ sopmod and 2 stage trigger that should be here shortly. can't wait. i'll post some photos when i get it setup. a lot more $$ than I wanted to spend on my first EBR but figured it'll last me a long time. :) |
is spikes tac looking to make a .22lr barrel for the MRP? and maybe a 9mm? I'd definitly be interested. assuming it'd be like the 6.8 where you get a different BCG and magazine and be ready to roll??? very interested!!! i've been considering one of their pistol lowers as my next build but the .22lr has a lot of appeal because of the cost of ammo these days. I'd go for that first then maybe a 9mm (again the cost of ammo vs. 5.56). |

How many gas rings on the lmt standard bolt mine has 2 any of you know if this is normal
No, I dont think thats normal. 3 is standard, and while the gun should run with only one, I would want three. |
Yes. Barrel and Bolt. More info can be found here http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=258362&page=30 He needs fifty people to get the ball rolling. |
Man i cant wait for those magpul rail covers! |
Very very nice. |
What's the weight comparison between a CQB upper with the 14.5 " or 16" barrel with say a standard upper with an LT 9.0?
I once saw the CQB upper without barrel listed as 23 oz. Larue 9.0 rail is .854 lb. add your stripped upper and compare. Im 80% sure my numbers are right. |
Price for a stripped upper and barrel for an LMT CQB MRP should be around $1,000.00
They are sick!!! It was my second AR, before the ARs I only had HKs pistols, and a real HK91. The LMT MRP is the only AR I have seen with HK quality. I would love to buy an HK 416, but this is just as good. |
