in simple words, it is of the M16 design that is legal for AR15 use.

Only use it if you shoot M855 out of a 14.5 inch barrel. Some people have had touble with it in other barrel lengths or with other ammo. I suggest the enhanced bolt, and an M16 carrier.

Not correct, LMT has both AR15 and M16 carriers available. |

Check out this thread.... it gives some good info:
Problems with LMT I would go with the RRA enhanced Bolt group if I was you. RB Precision is selling RRA enhanced bolt groups for $99 shipped. They also have a deal for the RRA bolt group and a RRA charing handle combo for $115 shipped. ETA: I just found this thread that states that Legal Transfers is selling RRA enhanced bolt groups for $98 shipped.... which will save you a $1 vs. RB Precision. |

Just buy an M16 carrier. The weapon was designed for that carrier.

Increased dwell time is only one of the ehanced features. I am not privvy to what the ring on the front is for. The enhanced carrier can be helpfull in certain situations, mostly belonging to short barrels and full auto use. Like their standard M16 and AR15 carriers, they are very high in quality. KAC's match carriers are just chromed LMT's. If you don't need one, ie have no reliability issues - don't bother with the added expense.
