Ohhhhh, you guys are the major suckage....
Beautiful uppers Denny and MM! |
Ooooh Baby! Mine is the one with the YHM block and 5C2 flash hider! Can't wait to put that sucker on my lower. WooHoo!
Denny, that's cruel -- you know I'm chomping at the bit here with my pile of parts & Operator barrel, waiting for you to ship me the Stealth uppers! I hope you're able to get loads of stuff shipped Monday! (Especially order # 12175) Still no LaRue BUIS here, BTW.
Saving a place here for a photo of my GTS build (Insert Johnny Cash tune: I Got It One Piece At A Time). |

EVERYTHING about the SS barreled upper is what I want mine to BE, exactly...now I just have to save some $$$
My camera just broke on me, but I disassembled my brand new BCM middy upper that I've been saving and attached it to a LaRue Stealth, 9" LaRue rail and added a Vortex, GasBuster and a CMT BCG that was super fixed earlier. Looks just like the last one in the 1st picture and 3rd in the 2nd. It's been too stormy to test out.
Well when your camera is operational, please post pics and a range report. |
Denny, does the anti-spin collar require any fitting to work with the Stealth upper?
Yes, no problems. |
I have to agree, I bet that will be one fine shooter |

Hey Yakrat, on your build what type stock or burnsed type quick release sling mount do you have. I cant tell if it's part of the stock or whether it's a part I haven't seen before.
It's a Knight's Armament carbine sling point. I like it because I change out the stocks quite a bit to see which one works best with different optics/upper combos and it keeps the sling in the same spot. I thought of using a 11.0" gooseneck rail until I saw Denny's build and then went with the 12.0". I've got the 11.0" waiting on a future build so it might get moved over to try it out. yakrat101 |

That stainless one with a forged F marked FSB would be just about perfect.
We can do it. Hows about a DMR mounted F Marked FSB? Denny |
What's "DMR?" FWIW i Emailed a few weeks ago asking for a price quote on a build using the LaRue M4 upper, 16 or 18" stainless Brl in 1:7 or 1:8 twist and M4 Brl extention (5.56 or .223 Wylde chamber), F marked FSB & appropriate Larue Rail. I'm not fussy about the Brl as long as it meets those specs; Noveski, WOA, Saber..anything that meets those specs. Carbine or midlenght is fine as long as the Rail goes all the way to the FSB...Never heard back. |

Denny:
I have been trying to get in contact with you. It seems my emails are being eaten by the cyberspace monster. I have been watching all the things you have been doing for a few months now and want to get in on things! What's the best way to get in touch with you? |
Phone. I don't get to all my email every day due to the volume of it. Denny 816 809 9452 9am to 2pm Central time. |

This is starting to make me a bit cranky.
I've had my 1000 yard Grendel build on hold since mid August when these where suppose to ship by 9/11/06, but it seems that the standard A3 recievers got put on hold so M4 recievers could get shipped out for people to build battle rifles on. I don't understand this at all. |
Battle rifles? You are kiddin aren't you? Did ya see the .35 10 shot group I shot with one of my builds on a Stealth. Just because it has M4 ramps doesn't mean a rifle doesn't shoot accurately. Mark Larue tells me he will have A3's next week. |
One more time I don't quote builds much via email. One email begets another email which begets another email and so on and on and on and on. Usually a phone call or two gets the entire build planned out and only takes ten minutes or so each call. I am not the worlds fastest typist and my days are long and short on time. Email build quotes take me too long to figure up and type and I just don't have that kind of time much and it is so impersonal. I truly do prefer to get to know my customers on the phone. If you want a build quote just call me, I don't bite......often. Denny |
Don't sweat my ramblings, I was tired and cranky before I even read this thread. |
Very sweet. What scope is that? |
Here's a teaser with poor lighting.
http://home.comcast.net/~ipsik/images/Larue.jpg Denny, I will call you for a quote on a Noveske 14.5" 6.8 SPC AFGHAN barrel with Larue block and KH3. I am using a Daniel Defense M4 13.5" rail system as I wasn't able to resist the group buy price from Rainier Arms. Thanks for the fast shipment on the upper, got it yesterday and can't stop smiling since he |

Begets. I do believe we have a rarely heard "word-for-the-day". |
it's an older bauch & lomb elite 3000 3-9x - don't think they make 'em anymore. |
What some great looking uppers. Mine is the one with the LaRue 9.0, F-marked FSB, Vortex, and Operator barrel. I can't wait to throw my ACOG on that baby and go out this weekend. You do some great work, Denny!
Thanks, it was a quality build with the parts you selected. The making is the part I love. Enjoy and when you get her broke in give us a report. Denny |
You bet! If all goes well I plan on taking her out on Friday or Saturday. I'll post more detailed pics with all the goodies attached as well as a range report. |
Got the upper, thanks to Denny.
Whoever said that pictures don't do it justice wasn't kidding. Beautiful craftsmanship. I'll post build pics once I'm done. Very nice work, Mr LaRue. Oh, and it came with one of the field survival devices. I've been wanting one of those. |
I will accept no credit. Let me introduce you to Team LaRue. ML ETA - My man Pres. Bush looked a little P.O'd today at the news conference. I bet Madam Pelosi is gonna be shocked at how well the W remembers the names she's been calling him. ---- well, on second thought ... |
Denny, received the uppers today. They are outstanding, thank you.
ML, while your uppers are stealth, the packaging I received my 11.0 with gooseneck is decidedly not. Big "LaRue Tactical" tape on the box doesn't give me a lot of wiggle room here when the wife sees the package. I can't very well say "But honey, these aren't new, they were sitting in the gun room." She may know too much already... Thanks for the gear. |
Anxiously awaiting my stealth upper (hint hint Denny!) and various other goodies for my ultimate CQB build... hopefully it will all be here soon so I can assemble and test it before showing off to the extended family at thanksgiving.

That orange cap at the end of the barrel makes your gun look like an Airsoft knockoff. |
AN Airsoft Knockoff that will put a hole in your azz instead of a sting if you piss the guy off ETA: he's got to protect the threads till he gets a suppressor or Flash hider, if he lives in a ghetto state |
Dude, you have to post more when it's completed. |
I'm a poor college student and I still have to order some parts (flash hider included). So, until then, I'll see how effective an orange plastic muzzle cap is height=8
No worries, I am in a pretty good mood this morning. Got all my aggression out from bouncing last nightheight=8
A suppressor build sounds good for my next AR build.... I think I just diagnosed myself with BRD
AR build #1 is coming to a close... |
