hi!
Any body have experience with Konus M30 ,is it gtg?
or i should get Burris tac 30 for twice the price.
For sure i only use it for paper punching only and 100-200 yard.
thanks for the advice?

I had a few Konus 1-4x newer generation w/ red/blue illumination and quickly sold them despite the crazy deal I got on them. Bottom line is I saw a significant, annoying fish-eye effect, the blue illumination was useless in any type of day light and I'm not a fan of the simple dot reticle.

I've never handled the Tac30 but have an XTR 1-4x and have owned other Burris optics and am confident that the Tac30 will be a much better choice!

yes!i'm leaning to Burris too,but both of them not amrican made.
Thanks,i think i will go with Tac30.
Opticplanet have them for $299 plus 5 % off
thanks Jerz

Could save a few bones an check out the Leatherwood CMR. Green illuminated models are still $250ish. I have not seen a Tac30 yet to compare, but the CMR has been awesome for me. Might be checking out the 3-9 Tac30 lrs soon though.

+1 Big fan of the CMR! I have one on my gf's rifle and she likes it too.

Who has the CMR for $250ish? I checked, they've gone up to $319-$350.

Thanks for the tip re: the TAC30 at OpticsPlanet! Thought I had to wait till March 26th for Midway to fill the backorder. Free shipping at Opticsplanet too.

Now, how can I fast forward to next weekend?

Damn, guess you guys missed the bus. I got mine for $243 shipped from Midway a while ago but saw SWFA had the green one for $250 still 2 weeks ago, but now they're $330.

CMR actually being sold for MSRP, makes me wonder if I will be able to find a deal on the DMR when they are released, or if $599 is it.

If the leatherwood is 250ish,that will be my first choice.
Natches so far has the best deal for $317.

The Leatherwood is Chinese if that matters to you.

Very true, but it is not typical chinese quality (ie- utg, leapers, tasco, nc star). It really beats the crap out if my DMS1.

I was just passing on info as the OP had mentioned other scopes not being American made.
I have no personal interest in the Leatherwood scope.

Ok, your lack of interest is noted. Not sure of the relevancy though.

It was relevant to the OP's prior concern of a scope being made in China.

I have a Tac30 and it is wonderful- great reticle, great field of view, good lighting levels on reticle, good controls.

I have tried a Konus and it is awful- narrow fisheye view at rear (move your head even a little and you lose the view) and the blue illumination is worthless.

Buy a Tac30, don't look back.

He never said Chinese, he said not American and that was about the other two he was looking at. His concerns seemed to be about quality and his budget. I only made the statement about its quality because I know what sort of quality typically can be expected of Chinese crap and this is an exception. I didn't make it for your benefit, I thought OP might find it helpful. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
