Like to know anyone's opinion on these. How do they compare to Colt or Bushmaster. Will the ARMS SIR fit on this rifle? My local guy has one in stock and I'm taking a hard look at it. Thanks in advance.

To answer the question KAC is better than both but it's a close race

If it is cheap by all means swoop for the kill.

They are nice rifles like Oakleys are nice sunglasses (the rifle is really nice- but the KAC Brand name- at least I believe- artificially raises the price beyond the value.)

You could build a similar rifle with Bushmaster or RRA parts for about $350 less than the going price new.

If I saw a SR-15 for $1000 I would be tempted to buy one (for $1400 they are a little cost-prohibitive).

Cold hammer forged Diemaco barrel, KAC RAS and 300m BUIS, and the awesome KAC trigger, but the time you add all the accessories on it, it is worht the 1400 dollars they are asking.

I for one are waiting for the URX to arrive.

I wasn't aware they came with the 300meter BUIS.

The way I buy I would Buy:

BM Barrel assembly $179
T Numbered A3 Upper $100-135
Delta Ring Pack $20
Bolt and Carrier (Chrome plated Lesbaer or Smith enterprise $179)
RRA DCM Lower $265
Lower completion kit $60
buttstock and buffer $40? it's been a while
KAC RAS $300
KAC 300M backup $130

and come out $200 ahead for 2 hours of assembly time.

I still don't remember ever seeing a KAC come with the rear BUIS for $1400 I saw the ads and thought about buying one but the rear sight wasn't pictured and that would have made it a better deal

All I wanted was the "cool KAC logo lower anyway"

My customer service is the fastest in the business- I buy the parts and 3-5 days later they arrive and I fix the gun.

Are the SR-15s chambered for 5.56? 3rdtk's reply would indicate yes. I have heard the barrels are not chrome lined on the M4 or M5. I have handled an SR-15 M4. Very nice rifle. And the KAC trigger is awesome.

Wes and/or John, any standard M5s in stock?

You can e-mail www.impactguns.com for info. Unfortunatley the KAC website is actually a cyber-squatter meaning its not the real company's website.
