Anyone using this barrel? It functions great suppressed but I cant get it to group for shit at 100. My handload subs are 4 moa at 100 and 110 Tac-TX are about 3moa at 100, with and without the N6. I know its a 6.25in barrel but id like it to be a little tighter than that. My groups at 50 yards were about the same as well.

Shooting off bags with geisele trigger and 14x scope.

So have you not tried developing a load for it yet? Are you shooting loads you already developed for another rifle?

What are you wanting to get out of that itty bitty barrel?

If your groups are about the same at 50 and 100 yards, the barrel is probably not the issue.

Yes. The subs I used are the same that shot 2in in my 9in MPW just added a little powder to get them to cycle. Everyone says that Tac-TX shoots under 2in in almost every post I have stumbled across doing research. Was just hoping this was the case for this 5R 1-7 twist SS barrel. I guess what I am really asking is what loads seem to do well in this barrel from other people who have it. I have heard 1680 is a better powder to use than H110 for subs. I will be trying that next!

Can't help you with that particular barrel but I've had very good luck with 1680 more so than H110 in my 220 Grain Subs. I like Accurate #9 too, almost seems quieter with the same muzzle velocity even.

Looks like you may just need to work up a load from scratch for that barrel to see what it likes.
