I'm curious and looking for some opinions here-Positive and Negative...

Looking to take a KAC SR-15 Match upper and convert it to a pseudo SPR?

1.Would this be a good platform to begin with?
2.How well would the PRI folding front sight work with this upper barrel?
3.Will the ARMS SPR rail mount to the upper flat-top and the KAC FF rail forend?
4.What about having a SPR Brake (OPS) installed on the barrel?

Thanks for the input...

To answer some of your questions

1. I think it's a great platform to begin with, but I'm only going by what I have read.
2. Forget the PRI sight. Get the KAC and mount it on the FF RAS.
3. I don't think you can use the SPR rail with the FF RAS.
4. Talk to wes at MSTN

It is a excellent platform.

The PRI will replace the KAC gas block. but you don't really need to do so.

With the KAC setup, you don't need the SPR rail.  The new ARMS SPR rail might just clear the lock ring on your RAS.

You will need to thread the barrel to have a civilan version of the SPR brake, but if you want the real thing, you need to get a complete new barrel.  Wes@www.MSTN.biz is your one stop SPR source.

This is the SPR-A version from KAC

Hope this helps.

Has anyone heard anything lately about the TS-30's (pictured above) possible commercial release?
