Was wondering about the SR-15, specifically the upper...  Anyone have any experience with them?  I was thinking about picking one up and wanted people's experiences with them.  Not much information on the internet about them.

Chrome barrel?
1/7 twist?
Gov. profile?

Any issues I should be aware of?

Dude...... if you have found one at a good price or even a desent price I would pick it up. Your questions are all answered by yes.
KAC makes some of the best out there.

I was getting ready to post the same question. Anyone worked with the SR-15 Carbine?

KAC hasn't been in the business of supplying the civi side of the firearms world, in any meaningful way for some time now. The .gov eats up everything they can produce.

At SHOT 07, KAC reps told me, in no uncertain words, that they would absolutely be releasing civilian rifles in 2007.

I haven't seen nor heard squat from them since. Love to have a KAC SR, but with all the other goodies out there...and HIGH QUALITY goodies, there very little reason to hold your breath for a KAC release.

They made and released a small run SR15 Match rifles a month or so ago. The popular rumor is that they are going to release a run of SR15 carbines late this year or early next year.

KAC SR-15, in the past had no M4 Feedramps and 1/9 Twist.

Does anyone know what type of barrel the M5 has?
