Sorry I don’t give out advice to new AR owners who don’t post pics of their new toys!

No Cam
Link Posted: 8/4/2005 1:33:38 PM EDT
Go shoot it.
Link Posted: 8/4/2005 1:39:05 PM EDT
Clean it, then shoot it, then take her home and clean her again. Clean and relube it first to get the shipping and storage oils off.

Then go find a friend with a digital camera and post pics.

If she's your 1st +1

Screw the optics & bling right now. Get a feel for what the weapon is all about and become fullt proficient with the iron sights. If this is your 1st AR & you got the A3 sans detachable CH, then get the best BUIS for yourself & master that. After a few thousand rounds you'll have a good idea what could be improved upon for your purposes & being the smart consumer you are, you'll already have done your research while plugging away at the paper all that time.

shoot it as much as you can!!!!!

i would get a lot of mags and ammo to load into them......... and then shoot it some more!!!!

Houge rubber grip.

All my carbines have them. Best/easiest upgrade for $20.

and +1 for mags/ammo

I would go with a good cleaning kit along with the mags and ammo.

well-maintained rifle = happy shooter

I was looking into getting a nice rail system first, whats a good one?

KAC FF tube or la rue. You'll have to take the fsb off though.

SHOOT IT! Then shoot it again and again and again. Become one with the weapon!!! Master the irons sights first, then buy an optic and practice, practice, practice. Did I mention practice? This is my Bushmaster M4A3 LE with an Eotech on a Larue mount.

Here is my Bushmaster M4LE http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v607/luckyvbar/100_0258.jpg

Where did you get yours and how much was it? I would like to buy 1 more. The M4LE's are getting hard to find.

As so many have pointed out to me: clean it, shoot it, clean it. Rest and repeat.

Also, mags and ammo. As someone said: you can't ever have too many.

I'm waiting for my own Bushy to get in on next Friday and I'm glad you are enjoying yours and congrats on your first.

+ 1 gazillon.

Clean the bore out before the first round goes out and lube her up!

You can thank me later.

Whe needs the 4th and 5th steps
BTW, very nice looking rifle!

Clean it, gets lots of ammo and mags, get the Samco G27 grip and the M4 handguards or maybe the 4-rail free-float tube or the 2- piece railed handguards from YHM,the the most important is to shoot it.
Link Posted: 8/5/2005 4:38:08 PM EDT
took her out to the range today, didnt clean her before I fired it, worked just fine for me 1 inch groups at 300, whats all this talk about cleaning before you shoot?
Link Posted: 8/5/2005 5:14:04 PM EDT
I did the same thing, visually inspected the barrel out of the box and then fired it. Zero problems for me!

1st Toy? I'd add a light source like the Surefire M-500A if you're a city cop and a M-500A/B if you're a deputy.

Specter Gear CST 3pt sling with ERB.

MagPul's new MIAD grip is out and is the new hot thing, ordered mine 2 days ago and am impatiently waiting.....

And then save your money up and get the ACOG TA11.

Just one man's opinion! Have fun and Congratulations!
