Lets say i have a 20" RRA rifle... with a bushmaster barrel...

i have a brand new dpms teflon coated mag...

i have a fully loaded 30rd mag... i stick it in my magwell...with the bolt locked to the rear... i hit the bolt release and the carrier/bolt go about half way forward... and i can visually see the round is almost in the chamber but not quite...

if i pull back on the charging handle and let go it slamms it forward and locks...

what is causing this? mag? a weak buffer spring? something not allowing the mag to fully seat up in the magwell?

Not uncommon with a fully loaded mag. Use the charging handle to chamber the round. Be sure to bring the CH all they way to the rear, then let it go forward w/o riding it.

I've been having the same problem for a while. I noticed that I can have the bolt locked back or manually cycle it and sometimes a round will only get halfway there when the bolt is released.

I insert the magazine and give it a good rap to make sure it's seated. It will not come out if pulled down. BUT, with a little more force slowly applied on the bottom of the magazine, I can hear it really click in place. When this happens it strips on off either way, every time.

Hope this helps.
