Tip: Get the trigger and set screws chemically clean before LocTite is used. MEK works well for this.

Use a dremal tool carefully I broke mine installing it, it was replaced No charge though, it's a very good trigger.  JP is a good co.  I want more of their stuff.   762

What did you use the dremal tool for?

+1, this is the best advice. Read the instructions all the way through before starting. I have JP's in two of my 3 AR's. Installation is pretty straight forward. I had to remove material from one of the disconnectors but all in all the instructions are thorough and the installs went easy.

Yea, I'd like to know where a Dremal Toll fits in the installation.
I have a JP kit with the speed hammer and I did not use or see where a Dremal Toll was needed or could have been used.
Am I missing something?

Advice on installation? Patience and then locktite.
Mine breaks at  2.75 lbs crisp and has been like that in a Colt and now a Bushy for thousands of rounds.

YMMV

Did you take off any metal from tip of disconnector?
Did your kit fit into the lower receiver without taking off any material from  the sides of the trigger pinbosses?
J.P also talks about problems with shooting foreign amo, did anybody experience such thing?

I did remove a very very modest amount of material but a sharping store did the trick. I have had it n a Colt and now a Bushy. I would be hesitant to use a Dremal tool for what I did. How much did you remove? What make gun did you put it in? How did it work out? Just courious.

I have a Colt Sporter Match HBar 20'' A2
I am going to install it today but I want to buy a belt sender first to make sure its done right.

Bill how much material sending did you do for your Colt , did you install anti-walk pins also?

Same here, used a small stone. The amount of metal removed was negligible. This was on my M4gery using a Stag lower. The second install using a DPMS lower went in with no stoning at all.

I've shot Wolf out of my AR before, no problems. A friend of mine got a JP trigger before I did. At the time I was using CCI mil-spec primers (#41's) in my reloads and using the JP yellow hammer spring his rifle had about a 30% ignition failure (my M4gery at the time had a stock trigger, and it fired these rounds with no problems, so it was the JP trigger). I switched to Winchester primers (WSR) after this and the issue went away. However, I've shot probably a thousand rounds of NATO M193 and M855 through my two JP triggered rifles with no problems (I mostly shoot my own reloads).

I have the same trigger with the low mass hammer. I love it.

But a gunsmith installed it, so I have nothing to add.

If you want to eliminate as much creep as possible, some tuning of the disconnector is likely.

However, the trigger/hammer usually install well enough without tweaking that it's a HUGE improvement over a factory trigger/hammer even if you leave it be and only adjust the set screws to be within what the disconnector permits for initial setup.

As you get on the set screws to adjust the take up and over travel, that's where the disconnector may show signs of needing to be tweaked on slightly.

On one of my ARs I set it up so that there is only a very minor amount of take up before the hammer releases to make the gun a bit less prone to doubling if firing from a rested bench position(not so much a double but rather unintentional bump fire).

Putting a JP trigger into an AR will give you a great target trigger and godforbid you want to bump the rifle it becomes rediculously easy.

Got one in an accurized AR squirrel rifle and another in my AR10.    It's my favorite trigger by far thanks to the flexibility in being able to set it up.

It should come with CD & Paper instructions!!

If you read and watch instructions FIRST!!   You can't go wrong!!

in most cases the only place you should need a Dremel, file, or stone is for fitting the safety.

If you adjust the trigger as sensitive as I do for target and/or Varmint rigs you will want ZERO trigger movement with the safety engaged....., so be very careful to only take off a little at a time when fitting the safety!!

If you don't understand what I'm saying....., you didn't read JP's Instructions...., & if you did... you'd better read them again!!   it's really quite simply!!

Good luck....., the JP can't be beat when installed & adjusted properly!!!

I guess that I am just a 62 year old fart that has been shooting since age 7 and feel that the money one invests in that trigger (or any high end trigger unit) would be better spent on ammo and range time.  That trigger or any other will NOT make ANY one a better shot, especially at minute of bad guy distances. All of those BGs killed with stock triggers died from shot placement without knowing the trigger group was in the weapon killed them and they are going to stay dead. No, I have not been to the sandbox, but I have been to the Southeast Asia Jungle Combat Training Center.

I just don't understand how the money spent on some high end trigger makes any one a better shot. IMHO, all this "seeking the ultimate" do-dad is a bunch of crap. Shoot your damn rifle, learn it inside and out, buy quality mags, ammo and a quality optic and/or BUIS and shoot the f**k out of it at the range.

If you want it for strictly match/competition then do whatever, but have a "real" AR at hand for that SHTF day.

Now that is funny sylwesterski.

As I recall I remover a tiny bit for fitting but it was about 5 or 6 years ago.
I have everything but the anti-walk pins. I have never needed them.

I have the whole JP thing with their speed hammer and the yellow springs and I have shot many thousands of rounds and I am sure a bunch of surp without a single FTF.

I am a very good shot, I am a much better shot with a great trigger.

The dremal Tool was used to remove some metal off the nose of the disconnector and can also be used to fit the trigger under the selector, as the trigger is usually oversized it was a number of years ago.  I can't remember what part I broke but   I did.  I have had no FTF with any ammo with JP trigger and  speed hammer, JP yellow springs, anti walk pins installed, it was installed in a Bushmaster XM-15E2S.  The JP is a good piece of gear which allows a very nice trigger in an AR.  It is not as easy to install as some triggers though.  762

Agree with some of what you said but not all.

I have 3 AR15s plus the AR10, 2 of them remain with stock triggers because they are just general use tooling around guns with the potential for being a goto gun if needed for self defense.

However, my AR10 and my accurized AR15 are still serious use guns but having a nice trigger absolutely helps in being able to wring the most accuracy from them.

My JP Enterprises upper routinely does these sorts of groups when I feed it decent ammo or handloads and I do feel the trigger helps.

What's nice about the group is it's a fairly rapid fire group fired in under a minute from the prone.   Having a nice light trigger with minimal creep helps one take their mind off of the damn trigger and the amount of terrible creep that is usually present in most factory single stage AR15/10 triggers.

I installed my JP trigger in my varmint rifle back in 1998 and it's been going strong ever since with absolutely zero fuss, I've set it and literally forgotten about it.

One thing I failed say was that I am NOT against a trigger job. I have done the "15 Minute Trigger Job" posted on this forum on both of my ARs, one of which is my SHTF, everyday car companion.  Cost nothing, results priceless!

Several hundreds of rounds (I'm not a range homesteader) and no issues of any kind. Everything from handloads to BHBB 77gr stuff works in both.  Please don't take my comments as being against some "common sense" improvements such as a trigger job, improved extractor, etc. I just have a hard time with folks that seem compelled to perform high end "tweaks" to the rifle when the problem usually is with the low end twit at the trigger that just can't shoot and thinks some gizmo is going to improve his finger.

Ammo and trigger time. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

you really don't see an advantage to a crisp, repeatable and reliable trigger?  for quick draw, aiming at the torso, hit em' in the general waste and above area, i'd agree.  otherwise an improved trigger over the bone stock AR is helpful.  i've spent $200 bucks one them, and $10 on them, money aside, an improved trigger SHOULD equal an improved shot.

for a plinker/general use rig, i've taken the stock hammer and sear to a ceramic sharpening stone and just polished them up.  no more gravely feel.  i also used the $10 pack of JP spring kit,  between these two you can really make a big difference and not spend much.

HTH.
