I don't think it's ever gonna sink in. It kinda gives me the idea that people who do that want their threads to be seen above all others, which I don't like.

When all caps titles start getting automatically deleted, rest assumed, it WILL sink in.

The Colt 6920 is one of my favorite rifles. Glad to know you are excited about such a fine weapon.

I think means is it roll marked the  new" Colt Sporter"? SP6920, or the (soon to be discontinued)" Law Enforcement Carbine" LE 6920. And the new SP6920s are marked Colt's Manufacturing Co., the LE6920s are marked Colt Defense

There are two company rollmark variations on the lower receiver above the trigger. I'm curious about which one yours has.

ETA: I've seen them marked both ways, so I'm curious

I think they are doing a better job these day, than in the past on quality.

Picked up an SP6940 a couple of days ago.  Marked Colt Sporter M4 Carbine.  A few adjustments to the irons and thing was dead on as well.  Congrats on the fine weapon.  Should have gotten one a long time ago.

Call Colt it is correct info.  Same quality now going after the civilian market.  Rolls marks are the only difference.

It doesn't say anything because he doesn't own one. He has posted this thread on several other gun sites seeking attention from adults.

On the left side it says Colt Defense Hartford Conn USA AND NOTHING ON THE OTHER SIDE ABOVE THE TRIGGER.

Not so sure on that part.  Just got done with a class and someone very in the know who states otherwise.  I'm not so sure where I stand on that whole "they are EXACTLY the same issue" now.

Were the initials of that person in the know, "J.M." by any chance?

I hope you did get a Colt and not like the S&W that you touted but never had.
Yeah, I remember that.

Does the selector look like a normal selector, or is it the longer version? Also, is the carrier the half circle type or the M16 type? I ask because all but one of my 6920s are the older version-the newer ones have the upgraded parts straight from the factory (I upgraded my carriers to the newer version). The guns still run the same, but there is less wear on the buffer face

You can install them on the right side too for lefties

dude, I just noticed that looks like a MIM part? First MIM selector I've seen.  Not that it's bad, I'm just a details kinda guy.

Negative

He doesn't have an axe to grind at all, it was more of a trivia type deal.  Neither he nor I are Colt bashers by any means if anyone thinks that.
