Is it necessary to use JB paste to get a thorough cleaning on a Chrome lined barrel? Should I stick to solvent cleaners? I'm going to try some 75TAP loads & want to make sure the barrel is clean as possible. Thanks. -Justin

Using JB Paste won't hurt your chrome lined bore, and using it ever 1,000 rounds or so isn't really a bad thing.

Lightly swab the bore with CLP and put some paste on a tight fitting patch on a jag and run it back and forth for a dozen strokes or so. Follow up with some mild solvent or CLP and you should be fine. Use the paste after using a brush.
