LaRue Tactical has finally built the mount that I have wanted the most! The #17S upgrade mount! For the longest time I have been running a Laser Devices OTAL with an ARMS #17S. I couldn't open the lever on the #17S without some kind of tool (making it semi-permanent). On Friday I received the LT171 (AKA #17S upgrade mount) and quickly put it on my OTAL. I cofigured the lever to match my rail and did a little happy dance!
 The great thing about this mount is that it will work with the LDI lasers and Pentagon Weaponlights! Look for G&R to offer package deals on LDI lasers and Pentagon lights with the new LT171.  C4 www.GRTactical.com LT171   LT #17 and #17S upgrade mounts  LDI OTAL with LT171

Can you order the OTALs without the throw lever installed from the factory? Then install these in their place?
If LDI would sell the base unit w/o the mounting system that should slice the price down on those a little as well. It occurs to me that this will replace the 17S on my PRI M69 weapons mount for the PVS 14 too. |

1, this is my goal. To work with the Manufacturers to get their products without the ARMS mounts and pass along the savings to the consumer. C4 |

Grant,
I posted a pic of this laser unit in another thread, and when I read this one I became curious if this LaRue mount would fit. I don't have a mount for it currently. Here is the Vis/IR laser unit from SK Industries and the distance between the mounting screws. What do you think? It is hard to say from looking at the pic, but the LT #17S upgrade mount might just work (as the two holes are about 1" apart). C4 |

Does LaRue make their mounts locally? I wonder if I could get one w/o the holes drilled.
I will email them and ask. My girlfriend's parents live in Austin, so I might just swing by LaRue and ask in person. Thanks. |
