This plastic tipped ammo was mostly designed for short range training but the Israel's used it for CQC primarily on ships, where the risk of ricochet is higher. Terminal ballistics were poor and its my understanding this has gone the way of the DoDo. For plinking, its probably just fine. It might be advantageous if you are practicing in an area with restricted space. I personally wouldn't buy it as I would rather practice with something I could use for other uses if I had too...but if you could get it cheap enough, why not?

That says it for me.  If if goes below $100/1000, maybe I'll buy it: the brass is good.

I've got a couple of boxes left from some training in the late 80's. Mine has a blunt tip projectile vs. the pointed tip shown in the photo.  Then, it was said to be French. Many FTF.
