A friend is interested in trading a 16" Bushy A3 for my Mini-14. I really don't enjoy my Mini as much as the AR's nor is it even close to accurate. In fact you have to throw so much more money into a Mini, you have to really love it to make it justifiable. The thing is I already have a 16" Colt A3, if he had a 20" I'd be a little more swayed but the Bushy is probably worth more for a trade down the road. Here's my Mini, what do you guys think?

I'd do that trade in a hearbeat (If I didn't like the guy) - if he's your buddy you'd be taking advantage of him. (I mean a $750 Bushy for a $400 Mini-14 isn't quite even).

I'd trade too, but looking at that Mini 14, I don't think it's only a $400 gun. Maybe less than $500 all stock.

Well, he's a friend's dad that already has a few AR's. So it's his choice .

I'd do it. It has to know he is getting the worse end of the deal. That is a nice mini-14 though.

If he is a gun guy and "in the know" about guns in general and Minis in particular, make the trade. If he isn't "in the know", educate him as best that you can. If he still wants the trade AFTER you have enlightened him, make the trade.

Do it quick before he changes his mind.

If I were you the dude sure wouldn't have to ask twice.

My two cents worth...

He came to you, so make the trade.

Part of trading guns is getting a great deal every so often and this appears to be one, so accept it and try to build on it.

A wise man once told me. "A good deal is when everybody is happy after the deal is done"

If he knows what he's getting, go for it.

Keep the Mini and join the A-team.

I pity the fool...

Trade and then trade 16" A2 upper for 20" of your choice and you're good to go.
