Sir,
I have an M-3X and I can tell you that it is not the same size as the M-3.  It is difficult to find holsters that fit the M-3X.  I found that out after buying a piece of duty gear.  A second attempt bought the right thing, but it still sucks.  I called Safariland at the end of Dec and they said to wait until after SHOT for holsters that will fit.
