Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is the A2 grip screw shorter than the A1 grip screw?

Tried to replace an A1 grip on a pre-ban lower with an A2 grip, and found that the A1 grip screw would seat long before the A2 grip was secure.  Appx 1/16 of slop left when the A1 screw went tight.

Is the A2 screw shorter, or do I just have a weird A2 grip?

There should be no difference in the screw.  Perhaps you don't have a stock-length screw?  Also, make sure the A2 grip is lined up properly.  The hole in the grip is bigger, and if the grip isn't lined up with the lower properly, the screw won't go in all the way.
