Other options are clamping an SF light to the front sight or to the barrel, or getting a rail and attaching it to that. I can't say if it is worth it for you, because I don't know if you do or will prefer a tape switch, or the M500 controls, or a VFG or what. It all depends on your preferred attachment method, activation method and were you want it on the rifle.
FWIW, I run an M962 125 lumen universal on a rail. |

I would say no (for me). I am a fan of rails and VG's. They can also trap heat (possibly causing an issue). C4 |

still have the option of mounting a GG&G UFIR if you want a rail on the bottom of the M500.

You can do that but you will make activating the light on the M500 very difficult. The M500 is worth it and is a great, simple and very bright light. However it limits what you can do with your rifle, and isntt eryvery friendly with 3 point slings. If this isnt a problem, go ahead. You wont have any wires to worry about, you will get the LED's which are quite helpful IMO, and a very bright light. If you want things like 3 point slings, vert grips, bipods, FF barrels, then skip the M500 and find another light you like. |

Ok, I am going to put a 3 point sling on it. What is a good comparable light to the 500A brightness wise?

I would first advise you to re-think the 3 point sling idea (no need for it as it just gets in the way). For lights that match the M500A output, look at the SF M96X series. You will need a rail of some kind to mount them. C4 www.GRTactical.com M961XM07  |

On the 6920, the sidesling mount seems low enough for a 3 point..... |
