Is the SureFire M500A worth the money? What are other options that are similar in brightness?

Thanks

Other options are clamping an SF light to the front sight or to the barrel, or getting a rail and attaching it to that. I can't say if it is worth it for you, because I don't know if you do or will prefer a tape switch, or the M500 controls, or a VFG or what. It all depends on your preferred attachment method, activation method and were you want it on the rifle.

FWIW, I run an M962 125 lumen universal on a rail.

I would think so as long as you don't want to mount anything else on the handguard

still have the option of mounting a GG&G UFIR if you want a rail on the bottom of the M500.

Ok, I am going to put a 3 point sling on it.  What is a good comparable light to the 500A brightness wise?

Anyone have a pic with the side mounted sling blocking the LED's?
On the 6920, the sidesling mount seems low enough for a 3 point.....

That's an interesting nut on the LaRue rail...
