Is LC/Fed Xm193 brown box (not PD loose stuff) still currently made? I read here that there are shortages, but still see it for sale from time to time.

Yes it's still currently made. It's in a bit of a shortage but there are at least 3 sources to get it from right now.

I can always manage to find some...the price I pay varries quite a bit though.

According to their FY2006 budget, the Army is not procuring M193 after FY2005.  Link  I am not sure if the other Services are procuring M193 past FY2005.  M855 is not affected as the Services will be buying that for a long time.

At some point the Services will be rid of all their older M16s and cease buying M193, at which point the Lake City XM193 and XM193PD supply will stop.
