Hello, I shoot and teach 16's in the Marines and am looking at orders out of Kalifornia this summer and would love to make my own rifle. Need some links and starting points to do this legally, weapon will be built and fired in Minnesota. Looking for flattop m-4...good out to about 400-500 meters. Plinking and home defense, primarily.
Thank you all, Matt
Well, this is the place. Just about any piece or part can be found here, either from one of the vendors on the Industry page, or the private ads on the Equipment Exchange. All the info is here for your asking, with plenty of members willing to help. [:)]
Welcome aboard matt0369. Yes, you came to the right place. Check out Pete-in-NH (Legal Transfers) over on the Industry forum or on the equipment exchange. I built an M4 with one of his M4 profile barrels. Real nice barrel. And most of the other parts you can find right there on the Equipment Exchange or Industry Forum.
Try DPMS, they are in Becker, Minnesota.
The quality and service is top-notch. They will have everything you will need.
As a bonus, if you buy your parts at a larger local gunshow where DPMS has a booth, you will get a hell of a deal on parts!
Thank you devils advocate, i will probably drive out there this summer. id rather do face to face than internet. guess im old school.
