I took it to the range and ran about 200 rounds through it (rapid fire) and it worked like a charm.  The ejection appears more consistent, and the buffer certianly seems to work fine (I also replaced the standard buffer spring with a Wolf replacement spring).

Of course, I'll eventually have to shoot a LOT more rounds through it to really test the reliability (since I only had one failure in the previous 700 rounds - but even ONE failure is too many, right?)  


I do think I confused the guys at the range a little .  I walked in, rented a lane, spent a few minutes setting up and then ran through 7 magazines, packed up, paid them, and walked out - in about 10 minutes total.
