For some odd reason, my 16.5 inch Olympic Arms rifle has been slightly increasing in recoil. Is this simply a psychological thing or is there something that could cause this? The buffer isnt dead and Ive only been firing Federal LC xm193.

Could be just the rifle breaking in, and now the the carrier to upper surfaces are slick and not causing any binding.

On the other hand, if the rifle has seen years of service, then a new recoil spring may be in order.

The one thing that you have to remember is that you are shooting XM-193, and is one of, if not the hotteist loaded mil spec ammo on the market. Other ammo may be loaded with a heavier bullet, and would cause more mass reation recoil, but in regards to getting the carrier moving back with lots of speed, the XM-193 is at the top of the list.

Bottom line is if the rifle is cycling fine and doesn't have any problems, just be happy and shot the piss out of it.
