I bought a lower last week from a local dealer. It is marked Colt's Law Enforcement Carbine with all the restriction mumbo jumbo. Is this the LE6920 that everyone is talking about?

I have built several other ARs but this is my first Colt. I think I have the Colt obsession bug. What is the proper (Colt) upper/ barrel for this build?

Yes the "Law Enforcment Carbine" is the reciever for the 6920 and it will be the M4 configureation

Does that mean I need an M4 profile barrel and an A2 upper reciever to make it "correct"? I would like this one to be as "Colt" as possible.

What Barrel"?

Yes I know I should aquire Colt parts and components but why doesn't any of the "Colt community" respond to my thread?

Should I have titled it "Colt vs anyting else"

Where are the Colt people?

M4 16 inch with a 1/7

Specialized Armament has two complete uppers listed for the LE6920.

I would think the best thing to do would be to call Tina on Monday Morning

here are the links listed

What else do you want to know,

I have nothing but Colt's,

I bleed "Colt Blue"

Colt vs. Anything else?

What are you needing to know?

Yes it takes the M4 profile barrel
Yes you need an M4 collapsable stock
Yes it needs the M4 reciever, with the feed cuts
Yes it needs the detachable carry handle
Yes you need the A2 style sghts on that detachable carry handle
Yes it's gonna be expensive

Thats just about all I think I need to know other than where to get more of these restricted marked lowers.

There is just some sort of nostalgic value for me when it is something I couldn't buy before.

Your right, I have picked up two since the ban ended, a 6520 which came a couple weeks ago and a 6721 which should be here in a week or so. I haven't been able to find a 6920

Colt LE 6920 16" barreled complete upper around $725-800
or Colt LE 6921 14.5" barreled complete upper around $800
M4 telescoping stock complete around $150
And if the lower is stripped you need Colt large pin kit for it around $100.
Some small items like sling and magazines and manual.
All these can be found from EE

Where are you shopping? Find a new source because you are getting ripped off. The prices you quoted on the uppers are a bit high as well.
