I'm having a really hard time deciding between an LMT, CMMG, or Bravo 1x7 twist upper.  What do you guys recommend and for what reasons ?

thanks

LMT, mainly because they are the closest thing you can get to a military spec'd upper. IMHO.

All three are fine choices. Go with price and availability, IMO.

+1 and If there all the same price and available, get the LMT.  I only say that because I have one and its great.

How about a BCM...

Pretty much as much spec stuff as an LMT, and Paul is an active member here (so is CMMG)
and it's always nice to support those who support us...

Wow! The ole' blonde, brunette, red-head debate.

That is a cannot go wrong list. As someone offered, BravoCompany and CMMG are two big supporters of the site, and since the gear thing is a toss-up, I'd go with one of those men.

While I agree you would probably be fine with any of them

That statement is incorrect. The closest to spec would be the Bravo Co.. Paul spent a lot of time researching the correct steps and tests done by Colt and FN and then replicated each and every one of them. LMT's are not parked under the FSB and use straight pins, instead of taper pins to hold the FSB on. Nit picking? Yes, but if you want the "closest"  but don't want to buy a Colt or FN barrel, the BCM are the next best thing. Less expensive the LMT last time I checked too.

I just unpacked my 16" M4 upper from Bravo Company (BCM) last night. I haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but it looks great! Hopefully I'll get it out and get it dirty this week. If it shoots as good as it looks, I'll buy another one.

Can't get much closer to the "real thing"

BRAVO!!!!

It is everything the LMT is yet with better fit and finish. And Bravo is a great company to deal with, great guys who support us.

I have a 20" BCM upper. It has all the mil-spec features. Awesome. Very nice. Very happy with the upper. I bought an actual Colt M16 bolt and carrier and have a quality rig that's given me zero problems.
