Man - I will bring it home and post a pic of my FSP...
I keep it on my desk at work.

I had my front sight post  of my M4 hit when we were doing CQB in SOMALIA.
I was #2 in the stack - as you know - the worse place to be for entry.

When we got back - I had the armorer take the FSP off and give it to me as a gift.

By looking at the pic, that is exactly what happened to this Marine.
Mine looks pretty similar to that one - - - -   BUT- - - -
Mine was not shot completely through , just shot 1/2 of it off.

SPOOKED ME OUT.  Luckily, 3rd man in dropped him..

Beyond Tagged...check this out:

http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=218904&page=1

I called him out and he replied:

Man you must not have too much of a clue on the military and gear that they have.
We used M4 the whole time I was in.
Not to mention they were used back in VIETNAM."

After he got jumped on, he claimed he was joking.  Heheh.

He IMed me this:

What part of texas are you from ?

So , you read a few magazines and you know it all huh.

Sad................"

I told him exactly where, gave him my name and my picture.  Told him MY dates of service and asked for his creds.

Can't wait for a response from the graduate of the Chuck Taylor school of creative writing.

It may be hard to confirm if the incident in question happened or not unless you knew some people from the det that went to Somalia, but it would be pretty easy to confirm if a person was involved combat via the Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon Recipient Data Base.

It's fairly easy to confirm that M4s didn't exist before 1988, though.

I just got another IM from him.  They did in HIS unit.

Why do people always feel like they have to lie? This is about as good as the other guy that claimed he shot a deer with his AR-15 at night.

Well at least the guy in the picture definitely took something that could've hurt to the front sight. Thank God he didn't get hurt.
