[ARCHIVED THREAD] - I keep breaking hammer springs with 22LR kit

I have now replaced my hammer spring 3-4 (?) times.
One leg of the spring breaks off.
It seems to happen every 3-4k rounds. Any ideas?
It is a modified AR15 hammer (top ground to keep 9mm bolt from catching).

short of crappy springs you got me stumped.
is it a 9mm or a RF?

I use one lower (SBR) for my 9mm, 22LR (Ciener kit) and 10.5" AR upper.
What is an RF?

RF=Rimfire
I know that 9mm is hard on
pins
might stand to reason it's hard on springs too.
might be normal wear and tear if you're using one lower with three uppers, 3X times the wear.

Maybe? I shot about 1500-3000 rounds in the last couple weeks with it...Lost count.
BTW, Ican now bump it in 22LR semi. Best time so far, 30 rounds in 4 seconds. Average, about 10 seconds (with some FTF, FTEs to slow me down)

Stock spring. Stock trigger, sear, disconnector, hammer (except for the 'step' being removed for 9mm function)....
It is at least the 3rd, maybe 4th, hammer spring to break.
