I need some advice on decent ring mounts.

I hear some of the one-piece mounts cover up the ejection port a little or make for tighter loading.

Would 2 pieces not be better for a bolt gun? I'm looking at Valdada (picatinny style) and Warne (weaver style).

Any ideas?

I think I'd like Picatinny over Weaver, and Weaver over standard.

I have Warne mounts and rings on my Savage.  They are rock soild, tough, and well made.  I highly recommend them to anyone.  The "tactical" rings could win a Pepsi challenge against any other manufacturer.

I had a set of their "Tactical" rings and a one piece base by them for a while.  The rings are truely solid all around, and the base was incredible.  But it had my scope up a little high so I switched them out.  I now have a 2 piece base and rings that only have 2 screws on top, not the 3.  The bases are so litle and the rings aren't nearly so high, my scope is as low as it's going to get now.  My accuracy did not suffer 1%.

The one piece base did not affect my loading at all.  Plenty of room.

I have used both.  I find its not a real problem with the single piece mount.  I have a set of Night Force two piece mounts for the 10FP with accutrigger for sale cheap if they would fit on your weapon and you elect to go that direction.  PM me if you are interested.
