Looks Awesome....
I wish I could muster the "MoJo" to paint one of mine. I think I'll start with one of my Glocks first just in case I screw up. |
Why did the bananas get demoted to the bottom basket while the apples moved up?
Oh yea,,nice AR..i like it. |

Everyone has their own likes and dislikes about all of this shit. I think all the variations is what makes it so damn addicting. I plan on building more rifles....just had to have one of them painted....I figured why not this one |
I like the way it looks! I just don't like the way they look when they start peeling.

You have bigger balls than I do. Looks nice. It took those balls a while to grow |

I like it better painted! It was too shiny before. BTW: I also like the way they look when the paint starts to wear off. It only peels if you screwed up the prep job.

Is that a bloody tissue????
Edit: like the flat desert snakeskin |

Woah.. Looks awesome. 200% more badass.

Nice work. What did you use as your mesh? 97 cents of Wal-Mart laundry bag |

Believe me, I'm not trying to second-guess you, or to critique you in any way (I am a total AR-15 neophyte), but in the "After" pictures, is your magazine-release button not screwed in all the way, or is that just a trick of the light? |

I like how it turned out. BEFORE: http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa350/SPIKESTAKTICAL/DSC00300.jpg AFTER: http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa350/SPIKESTAKTICAL/DSC00319.jpg http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa350/SPIKESTAKTICAL/DSC00320.jpg http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa350/SPIKESTAKTICAL/DSC00321.jpg Rustoleum CAMO (OD, TAN) What LPK do you have in that weapon? I had an issue with the compatibility of a Colt selector and a Geiselle DMR trigger I had a couple extra LPKs and used a selector with the indicator notch that looks like yours. I like it and wouldn't mind getting a few more. I just can't remeber who made it because I repackaged them. The relieved part of the selector is wider and allows more clearance for the tail of the DMR. My first guess was Stag. |

It's my first one, and was a budget gun, which means it'll probably end up being a trunk gun after a while when I build the SBR project I have planned out. I painted my cheap bolt gun, why not this one too? |
I love it...it looks like a serious shooter now. The "before" pic made it look too much like a safe queen IMO.
Just curious, why didn't you camo the LaRue BUIS too? |
LOL! Just noticed the selector markings - "live" "dead" and "undead"...

My buddy was over and suggested that I not.....I think I'm going to though. Haven't made up my mind about yet. I do need to get some optics to throw some paint on though |

Looks great to me, :flipoff: to the haters. It was way too shiny before and now it is actually more useful. What length barrel/hangaurd? That hanguard looks crazy long, I mean longer than rifle length.
Looks good. I've painted a few. Resale dies, but you enjoy rifles more once than safe queen newness wears off. Painted rifles always seem to become the go to shooters.
Also don't forget, once you paint an AR a color other than black it loses its "evilness' and can be considered more "sporting."
Paint job looks Great!!! I've got both, painted/non-painted weapons. Need to paint another, but keep changing things around.

I paint my BUIS...I cover the front post and rear apperature though to keep 'em black. I don't have any peeling problems. I prep the areas with brake or contact cleaner. Then hose it down. The paint sticks great. |
Looks good! Now, it looks more like it can be called a "stick"
It looks really good for a fully painted AR, but..ive never been a fan. I liked it the way it was before better. But if thats your thing, you did it very well
Now it looks good, black guns look like they are missing something. Especially ones that are a mix of black and tan parts. Either go tan or black, but not some silly mix of OD, tan, brown rail panels and parts. Good job!

I like the way it looks! I just don't like the way they look when they start peeling. I dont know, its kind of like getting a few dents in your pick up, after having some really good times in it. If the paints peeling on your stick, it means you're runnin' it. When I was in the sandbox, the PJ's stationed with us had very worn, paint peeling sticks. They did not get that way from sitting in the armory. |
Now i know which rifle i'm gonna paint. I already ordered the 14" rail just need the paint.

Good job! I also like it when the paint starts to wear. You can take a little thinner and do all the sharp edges and normal wear spots, to speed things up. I also want to know why the bananas got demoted, not cool!
I LIKE it..... very well done.
It is much more like a tool now, you arent as afraid of a scratch...... |
Liked it better before, but it ain't mine and I just have a thing against paint in general. What's with the mag release?
