First, determine the correct scope position, fore-to-aft, for proper eye relief. Then you will be able to see whether you have enough rail length on the flattop to get both rings on the scope (one in front and one behind the turrets). Once you know that you can decide how to mount.
Unless you have a pretty short scope, you may find you need more rail length which means a riser of forward extended mount. The GG&G sniper grade rings work with a riser, but are too low for a flattop mount alone. You would have to get down very hard on the scope to get a full field of view.
It sounds like your scope is fairly small (33mm objective). An option to consider is the ARMS #35 system. The #35 QD base and either #35 track mount rings. This gives you a scope/mount combination that is removable with good return to zero capabilities at a reasonable price.
There are lots of options, just need the right total height (around 1.4") and enough length to fit the scope.
