So I'm new to the forum and trying to find some help acquiring a Daniel Defense lower parts kit. I am doing my first build and after careful consideration I have decided to TRY to use a DD LPK. Only problem is I can't find one in stock anywhere. So I'm hoping there is someone out there that just might have one laying around they wouldn't mind selling. Or if someone knows where to find one in stock I would really appreciate any help!

I have not seen one in stock from a retailer for about a year. I had one on backorder and they finally canceled because DD could not even give them a delivery date. I finally decided to use a WOA lower parts kit and I am very happy with it

I haven't seen them in stock anywhere since last year. If no one here chimes in with an extra one, and you're dead set on DD you might try contacting DD directly.  They have awesome customer service.

Otherwise, you're best bet is another brand. I used the "low quality" DPMS for my last build, it works great.

If you want one with coiled roll pins, etc. Spikes Standard LPK is in stock here.

Grab a White Oak kit sans FCG, and an ALG QMS. IMO as good a "stock" LPK as you can get.

Hey guys, I really appreciate the feedback.

Just pick up one from palmetto dude. Almost identical quality IMO.

I bought the last one, quite a while ago.

Actually, that's pretty close to the truth.
The DD LPKs haven't been available for a long time....way before the panic they dried up and word was that DD was holding them for their complete rifle builds.

For a substitute I would look for a Stag, RRA or a Spikes.
I don't like the PSA bolt catch. It's the coarse tactile (not tactical) pattern, I like the fine tactile pattern.....OCD thing.
The Spikes comes with spirol pins (not split roll pins) and I believe RRA does as well.
They drive easier.

I too was looking for a DD LPK for my second build, but I realized rather quickly that it was just out of the question. I used a core15 LPK for my first and it's honestly a good, sturdy kit, but I wanted to try something new. I ended up going with a WOA LPK like ANDROTAZ suggested and couldn't be happier.

They're in stock here for $44.95 at weapon outfitters. You will need a FCG and a trigger just to let you know.

That's a good option.
Anything WOA is GTG.
I would add a ALG QMS trigger ($45) to that and have a better than DD kit.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure you can find one of those triggers in stock at bravo company right now. Not sure where to find the fire control group though.

That's cool. I didn't have that option when I ordered mine. They only had Geissele tiggers in stock a while back.

I would go with that OP. It's a solid LPK with a great trigger pull.

With the exception of the FCG, do you guys see any reason to shop around for LPKs?  I'm starting to just buy random ones and add a ST NiB FCG.

The ALG Defense QMS trigger mentioned earlier is just as good or better and will save you some change (unless you have to have that silver color -  that will eventually become gray), I have used both BTW.

Yes.  All parts are not created equal and just because the parts may look the same doesn't mean it's just as good as a quality made part. I'm sure this will fall of deaf ears but even the detent springs have specs as to what material they are to be made of etc. etc. Parts are not parts and your $50. LPK isn't just as good as a Colt or DD LPK and that's the cold hard truth that most of you can't handle. Sure if all you plan to do is sit at a bench and plink then any ole LPK will do but if you plan to run your AR hard then spend the extra cash on a quality LPK. Flame suit on for the ensuing butt hurt that's sure to follow.

Easy there Jack Nicholson. It's just a LPK.

This man speaks the truth, and this goes for much more than guns.

Never messed with a WOA LPK though.

The White Oak folks are competition-minded people. They build national match uppers, and in my experience with them, use top notch parts. ADCO stocks their LPK as well - if you know anything about ADCO, then you know they wouldn't stock anything less than the best.

I do know them. I needed a gas block pinned to my DD barrel so I sent it to them. They do awesome work at a great price. Looks like that LPK is a buy. Thanks for the heads up friend.
