I am thinking about using a Surefire 9P(same as the 6P but a 3 battery/105 lumen version) with a Z32 shock isolated bezel, and a Z49 clickie tailcap.

Yep, that'll work just fine. I like the Daniel Defense offset mount, but there are mounts out there.

Most people seem to use the 6P, but I think the extra 45 lumens would be well worth another $20.

I have a Surefire 9P with Z32 bezel, XM tail cap mounted in a Viking Tactics mount and love it! I have owned other Surefire lights including the M910 foregrip light and like the 9P setup better due to it being low profile. I will post pictures of it in the morning if you are interested.

I would love to see some pics as that is almost the exact setup I'm planning.

$122, but you probably don't need the Z32 if this is going on an AR.

Most people suggest the Z32 for weapons mounting. The XM tail cap is the most expensive part of the build and I forgot what I paid for it. Calvin at BrighFlashlights is my hookup on all flashlight related items, period! Give him a call and he will take care of you. Some dealers claim to meet or beat anyone elses prices on Surefire lights but I have not had that happen yet.

I got one of their WG series lights. It is light and small and comes with a shock isolated bezel.

Here is one of my setups. Surefire 9P with Z32 bezel and Xm tail cap mounted in a Viking Tactics mount all of which was purchased from Calvin at BrightFlashlights.

Looks great! Thanks for the pics. I just spoke to Calvin and I think I'll be using the same setup with the exception of the tailcap. I'm going with the Z49 tailcap. I was worried the 9P might be a little too long for the carbine length FF rail, but yours looks just right.

Have you tried using the VT mount on the 6:00 rail? I will have to use it in that position, and I'm hoping it will work as well there.

I haven't tried it at 6:00 but its worth a look. Calvin will treat you right! Tell him I sent ya

You can also adjust the mount to fit further up on the light but for some reason I like it where it is.

Good lookin setup. I have to wonder how sturdy the VT mounts are though. Have a buddy in Iraq that just snapped his. He didn't say how it happened so I am curious how much abuse they can take.

You should add two YHM Big-Head Thumb Screws to replace the allen head bolts on the Viking mount.
Makes removing the light/mount much simpler and no tools are needed.

Calvin has them and if you tell him they are for the Viking mount, he'll trim them down a bit to make them work.

Calvin is the man!
