I am thinking about building a 9mm upper. I keep seeing that the Hahn mag block is good and uses modified Uzi mags..
My question is what do you do to the Uzi mag? I want to use Uzi mags cause I have a RR IMI Uzi and alot of mags already.
But I also dont want to ruin my SMG Uzi mags.
Thanks

all you have to so is cut a notch for the mag catch.  you can do it with a dremel tool, or use a mill to cut the slot.  there is a guy on this site that used to cut them for around $10 (IIRC something like joeblack).  i got the dimensions online somewhere.  i can email them to you if you want to give it a go yourself.

or you could get some of the C-Porducts mags that are coming out soon.  i know it is nice to be able to have 1 mag for all your weapons, but the Ban is over....stock up on everything you can while you can.  then if another ban happens rest easy knowing that you can convert your Uzi mags to your 9mm AR.

+1 ,   Uzi owner here since 1988,   use Uzi mags as-is.   Couple swipes with file and you'll be using the 32's.

I love mine too, and it's been 100% through 600 rounds, but could you post a pic of the inside of your mag well, SBR?

I already did about 5 million passes w/ the file and now I'm attacking it w/ the dremel... my flat back 25s now fit ok, a little tight, but the new 32s I got aren't going in at all!

Will the modified mags still work in my SMG Uzi?
Thanks

I have a RRA 9mm and use modified uzi mags with an RRA mag block.

But If I were in YOUR shoes and had a uzi I don't think I would modify the mags. I would go with the block shown above. The AR notch that has to be cut might make using the mags in an Uzi a pain in the butt. You would have to hold the mag release on the Uzi until the notch for the AR catch was past it or it would hang up.

Small radius chainsaw chain file works best to open the rear corners to allow the mag' corner to fit in... also need to clean-up the front and rear walls to allow the deeper mag to fit.

Skeeter, here the Uzi mags with notch cut for AR... you likely will have to hold the Uzi release to pass over the "AR" notch on the way in and out of the Uzi..

There are still many cool things about Oregon.
