I've heard a brass rod works on the FS with the sharp edges.

What about strap wrenches?

Show me the flat spots.
The one I may or may not own before Sept 14th is completely round.
Maybe it's not a true Phantom.

Mine has two flat spots 180 degrees from each other on the back "rim" of the device. You must have either a defect or something. Is it old? Maybe the older ones don't have flats.

The question to me is, were Phantoms produced by YHM without flat spots?

Not to say that there NEVER was one made without flat spots, but I've had a dozen or so go through my hands (still have 3 or 4 in the basement) and they all had the flats for a wrench.

No flat spot.
I'll post a hypothetical drawing of what it would look like if I had it before a certain date.

it has 4 slots/openings, and is perfectly round around the base.
It looks just like the top right picture you showed.

Bummer man! Sounds like you got one of the cast copies that Troy described.
