Guys I saw this a year or two ago but cant find it.

My m4 stock wobbles. How do I fix it. What I remember was something about a vice and a hairdryer if that can be right.

Thanks brothers

Get an LMT SOPMOD.

Not a lick of wobble.

The hair dryer idea is interesting.
I'll have to try that.

Another quick improvisation is putting about a inch
of 100 mph tape or thinner duct tape on top of the buffer tube towards the end.
It maybe too tight, it might be just right.
Play around with tape thickness till its snug but the stock
retracts and collapses smoothly.

I remember seeing the hairdryer method and I think another was putting a sticky backed strip of felt or something similar (the carpetted half of velcro) on the inside of the stock.

Pull the lever all the way down and the stock assy. should slide right off.

The hair dryer method (Which I originally got from Stick in a different post) works very well. My CMT's were all pretty loose and after using the hair dryer while squeezing in the vice they fit with no play at all. Used it on an LMT also with great results. I squeezed them in the vice first then blew the hot air through the stock, then put the stock on so that it fit pretty tightly. Let it cool there and it was a very nice fit..
