It's just the nub of the sling swivel. There is not a attachment for a typical strap sling.

Can you run an Uncle Mikes or similar piece through it to give you what you need? If I read you right, you have a place to put the swivel, but no actual sling swivel....

key ring ! Just slide on the key ring and you have a loop/ring for your HK style sling
Your local hardware store should have a good selection of sizes. the same can be done with a little bit of para cord. Invisiblesoul |

yep. I was going to say keyring. You can get the size you need at the local hardware store and if you really want to spend the big bucks (like $4 or so) you can go looking for an actualy keychain at the mall that has a black one and you'd be pretty tactical...

I would want a grenade pin before a keyring, but I tend to break things.

I use a keyring as well. I tried to find a matte black one but wasn't going to spend money to do so. So I just slide the fabric that covered the snap hook up to the end.

Be careful with the polymer hooks on the Sayaret style slings though - make sure it will hold your load. The gates on them can move to the side sometimes.
We switched to metal hooks for applications where the users want to use the hook directly to a swivel. The plastic ones were really meant for paracord attachment (and work well for that).
