I am a new AR owner so I have about 400 rounds through my rifle and was wondering about cleaning the tube. I never have broke it that far down. Thanks for the help.

It cleans itself with every shot. With the pressures that go through the tube with each shot, there is nothing to clean, it cleans itself.

NEVER clean the tube, it simply is not needed. NEVER pay good money for those long pipe cleaners and cram them into the gas tube. You face a far greater chance of getting one stuck than you do of actually doing it any good.

WOW! That is the best thing I heard today. Thanks. I am glad I ask first. Most of the time that is not the case.
