Many, many, many.  Pretty much any caliber that's less than 2.24" OAL and doesn't have too large of a head.  You'd just need a mag that feeds it.

There's at least 25, probably double that.  Some custom, one of a kind, some pretty standard.  There's rifle and pistol calibers.  There's uppers that fit on the lowers but don't feed through magazines, like .50 BMG.  There are numerous comanies putting out 7.62X39 rifles, Colt being one.

.22LR, 9mm, .45ACP, 7.62x39, 50 Beowulf, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8SPC, and 458 SOCOM seem to be the most common. Besides that, there's probably 40 others that can be used.

338 Specter
300 Whisper
499 LW
222
5.45
30 carbine

and on and on infinitum

If its short enough to fit in a mag it will feed it through the magwell.  If its longer you can get a single action bolt gun for it.  This measn ALL calibers.  I would venture to say if the ammo is not a DD you are good to go.

.308 won't fit through the AR15 magwell.  It'd be a single-shot like the .50 BMG mentioned earlier.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO there are many companies that make.308 ARs.  They have enlarged mag wells and take different mags but other than that look the same, pretty reliable, and can be a damn accurate sniper rifle.

You're right in a way, but not completely.  Those rifles aren't AR-15s, they are AR-10s (Armalite) and whatever the other companies call them.

Don't forget the Olympic .223 WSM and the .243 WSM.

.308 will not fit through an AR-15.  Yeah I thought the question was about AR-15, and not AR-10 variants.  If you throw in the AR-10 variants then you'll add a few more calibers with longer OAL.

Is this a shoulder fired weapon based on the AR15/M16, and does it handle well on full auto and burst fire?

edit to add:
Are there any gel tests for yaw, fragmentation and penetration depth.

Marty,

That's a fairly complete list, but you missed the .475 Tremor.
