I've been eyeballing a brand new LAR8 at a local shop for a few days now.  Upon closer inspection today, I noticed the front sight was canted to the left a ways.  Since I would be shooting this with the irons and it's an A-2 16", optics are not getting figured into the mix.

Will they warrant this?  Also, I'd like to have a standard FSB swapped onto this in place of the non-lugged base it has now...is this something they would do as well?  Anyone that has had any experience with them in this respect post your story.  Thanks!

Were it me, I would point it out to the shop owner and have him order me a new (not defective) one..  Let him deal with getting a problem fixed.  I REALLY like Rock River, but no reason whatsoever to buy yourself problems.

I wouldn't put my money into something that is obvously wrong from the start.

YMMV

I sent an upper back for excessive windage a long time ago and got it back pretty quick. They put a new barrel on it for me and it was GTG after that. It wasn't lightning fast, but it was in the midst of the obama nonsense.

Thanks for the replies.  I'm still thinking on it though...six of one, half dozen of the other.
