First, let me say that I've seen DPMS getting beat up on AR15.com some.

Having said that, I was cleaning out the gun closet tonight and found two laminated carded part sets from DPMS for AR's. One card was a spring set and the second card was a pin set. I bought these sets about 6 years ago.

Are these decent parts or should I junk them and buy parts from a different manufacturer.

Don't know about 6 years ago parts, but my two recent (within past 8 months) DPMS parts kits have been great.

Queue the others who say the same thing as me, then the guy who has used dozens of their LPKs for customer builds, then the one who says they are out of spec and missing parts, then the one who says they are poorly finished and are gray instead of black...

We go through this about once a month.  No offense to you - just thought I'd warn you of why people are about to get snarky.  They always seem to when a question has been asked before.  This one has interesting twists, though - older parts and just spring and pin kits.  Maybe they'll not be so mean this time.

With all the missing and out of spec parts I've personally seen, and seen posted here, I wouldn't use them.

Yes, but send them to me and I'll dispose of 'em for you.  

they are ok, not the best in fit or finish and sometimes in the correct quantity of parts, but they will work

i prefer RRA, stag, and armalite

h/w, i have ordered individual parts from DPMS and have been satisfied

They make some good parts but I wouldn't want a complete rifle from them. Their LPK's are very nice in my experience.

I use DPMS hammers.

If you dont want them, sell them to me (IM me). As for the parts, I say they arent good for you, but perfect for me.......
