I have the Mcfarland rings on now and I am dumping too much gas.. Need to go back to the 3 ring style.. Any trick to these?

Follow the instructions in Chapter 3 of the -23&P (Unit & Direct Support Maintenace Manual).

You can download it for free from this site. Click on the Information Button (above) then select downloads. Look for the -23&P.

EVERY AR owner should have this manual and read it.

Slide a ring up onto the rear of the bolt. Then push one end of the ring up until it drops into the groove in the bolt. While keeping the end down in the groove, follow the ring around while pressing the rest of it into the groove. Repeat the process for the other two rings. You can spread the ring gap a lot by twisting it and all will be fine, but do NOT pull the rings end's apart straight away from each other, as this will damage them.

Got it.. Im good... Read the manual.. Now I wont have to bore you guys with my stupid questions anymore.
