I was looking at ARs today and saw them. Anyone here own one? What can you tell me about it?

I've shot a few and they are great rifles. Excellent fit and finsh and very well made. I wouldn't hesitate picking one up. They are defiantley on the upper end of AR's available today.

I have an M4 and two builds with Sabre uppers. I rate them in the top tier with Colt, LMT and Noveske. They just secured a government contract to build m16a4s, one of only 3 companies now building M4s and 16s

I would agree, they are among the nicest I have seen. I like them better than a Colt as far as fit and finish.

Well after all of the reading I have done here and elswhere, I have one on order.
My take is that if they are not in the top tier they are very close. IMO they are the best bang for the buck. They cost the same as the high volume producers (those geared to the civilian market) while seemingly delivering better quality. Additionally, they offer more options (competition guns, twist rates, stainless barrels) than the civillian producers or than the "big three" who seem to be geared primarily to the military and LE market. Take it for what it's worth, I am new around here. I talked to them today, prices are up for next year on some models ––unless you got your order in before close of business today. |

Hmm, after reading your replies, I think I might have to get one now.
Gentlemen. *tips hat* |

The only down side is that the 6-pos. M4 stocks they use are commercial. A few months ago, I spoke with one of their reps and he said that was because they could not get Mil-Spec stocks and tubes quick enough, and in large enough amounts, to keep up with production. I own a Sabre Defence M4 Carbine and love it.

everything(not almost everything, EVERYTHING) ive read here has lead me to believe that sabre is among the best (LMT, Noveske, ect). I've not had the pleasure of having or handling one, prices have kept me away($800 was my limit).

I recently brought mine in to the local gun store to get some butler creek scope covers put on a few of my scopes. Rather than take off my scope I just brought the gun in. I pulled it out of the Sabre tactical case that it came with and handed it to the "tactical" specialist (the man who primarly sold the AR's, and from what I breifly saw in the store it ranged from LMT, Barret, Sig, down to the bushmaster and RRA types) I thought he was about to have an orgasm right there on the spot. I dont know if he loved it more than I do, but he sure showed his love in his facial expressions. Fit and finish is amazing, and he remarked on how "smoooooth" the action was. I am not as experienced as most are on this forum yet, but this really made me feel like I made the right decision on my first AR-15.

I love my two Sabres. I have a Colt 6920 a Stag, a DPMS, and two Sabres. I grab the Sabres every time. The build quality is top notch and they have excellent barrels. I think Sabre rifles are top notch.
May I ask who has any Sabres in stock? I would like one more if I could only find one. |

I have an A2 and just ordered an A4 (Nov. 8). I am dug in and waiting

Colt is the only company currently making M4 Carbines. Colt, FN, and Sabre are the only three companies currently making complete M16 pattern rifles for the military, but they are not, as the Sabre press releases suggest, "only the third company in history" to do so. GM and H&R have both made USGI M16s in the past. ~Augee |
