If you are talking AR15 mags only, I usually have around 4-30s loaded or 2-20rndrs and 2-30rnders loaded.
But then I also have a couple dozen stripper clips loaded for fast loading of my other empty AR15 mags.
For my other guns, I keep at least one to two magazines loaded for each of them.

I would like to have a few  more Labelle's myself, oh maybe 10 or so.
If you did get all Labelle's at a good price would you mind sharing your source if they have any more?

I really liked this answer.  Spoken like a true gun enthusiast. My first thought was what caliber?

AR 3 30's but have 1,000 rounds in bandoliers with strippers and feeders.  Doesn't include my range ammo which is on strippers.

Tell you the truth they're not loaded for SHTF but just don't like to take as much time at the range.  Home security I take a bit different approach.

I also Need More AR15's !! Can never have too many [:D]

I keep a dozen USGI 30's loaded, 6 in a pouch, some loose, some inserted into at least two AR's out of the safe and handy.  You never know when you may have to make a trip to the range really, really quickly.

Hmmm..., Can you give me the name of this guy that sold you the pre-ban. I'd be very interested in doing business with him, sounds like a real smart guy. [;)]

Actually a combination.  .45 with hollowpoints hands reach and Moss 590 in closet with malay rounds, 00, and slugs in speedloader.  My Moss has a red dot for night/slug use.  On the boat, I switch to a SS/Composite 9mm with two 15 round mags first five rounds of the loaded mag are hollowpoints the rest FMJ.

Home defense I like something that either doesn't take much aiming or is manueverable and concealable.  Going after someone, God forbid, my ARs would be first choice.

I have the 590 loaded with 8 rounds of 00, and slugs in the side saddle next to the bed.

2 mags for the FIrestar M40, 165gr Cor-Bon HP.

3 mags for the Hi-Power, 124gr +P Cor-Bon HP.

The AR has a loaded 30 in it, and a bandoleer with 4 loaded 30's hanging next to it.  I have 2 loaded 30's, and 120 rounds on strippers in each vehicle.

Redrum,
Sounds like you are ready for action ??
I have a 590A1 also and was wondering if keeping the 8 rounds loaded all the time hurts the spring?
Thanks..

The Firestar is my cary pistol, always loaded in the holster or within arms reach.  The Hi-Power and the 590 are house guns.

I have kept my 590 loaded for the last 8 years.  I shoot it 5 or 6 times a year and have never had a problem with the magazine spring.

If I have the ammo to do so, all of them.

However many 20 rounders I got (somewhere around 20??? not certain)
I ignore the 10 rounder and the one 30 rounder I have.

5 Enblocs for the garand that is missing a firing pin :(,

2 92FS mags

An empty gun is a useless gun.
