Last night I was packing a ammo can and couldn't believe how long it took me to place 840 boxed cartridges on strippers, shape and tape the cardboards, put them in bandos and pack the can. I never kept the time before but I noticed it yesterday. From start to clean up it took me a little over 1 3/4 hours. I do quickly inspect all the cartridges and don't rush. Am I getting old and lazy or is this time about the norm. Thanks all.

Are you getting paid to do it? Not a sarcastic question.

Personally I take as long as needed to do a job right, to my satisfaction.

No, personal use only.

That sort of thing is fun to me. Put on a good shootin' movie and sit back and load mags or whatever. Only now I have to do that sort of thing after my two year old son has gone to bed, he has an interest in everything I am doing.

I have found that the best time to pack ammo cans is on a slow Sunday afternoon when the weather is crappy for boating and a good Nascar race is on.

i always load mags, clean guns, etc on a sunday evening after i've been shooting all day. Just toss in a dvd, and by the time the movie is over, everything is clean, mags are loaded, etc.
