check out the excellent post from Thunderbolt882 (how is the T2 bullet better?):

As stated in another thread, .223 TAP, and .223 TAP FPD use the same bullet. The Match is the exact same bullet but without cannelure, and the 5.56 TAP uses the T2 which is entirely different

*edit* Pic added! I don't have any .223 Law Enforcement TAP so I substituted with FPD, same thing different case.

Be sure to read the excerpt from Police Marksmen on the 5.56 TAP I left in another thread as well. The article explains that the bullet's profile is meant to improve feeding over the SS109 in an M4 barrel extension.

Does anybody have this March/April 2006 edition of Police Marksman that they would like to sell to me? I'd like to read the full article.

Is this a new developement (hence the T2 monkier)?  I'm pretty sure 5.56mm 75gr TAP originally used the same bullet as .223 pressure.  When was this change made, or has it always used this bullet?

Cool thanks for the info!

I like the looks of the Bullet!

I hope Black Hills will use the same Bullet?

I got my first 5.56mm TAP last Summer and it had the T2 bullet.
