Anybody sporting the Holosun C models with the solar sensor have you noticed any problems shooting from dark areas into bright areas?
They say they have a sensor that adjust to light hitting the panel to get brighter or darker.
I was wondering if anyone had issues shooting from dark areas into bright light etc?
Thanks

I've noticed what you're talking about. It's due to the sensor on top being in the dark so the reticle is dim but you're looking outside or into a bright area so the reticle washes out. Just hit the manual mode and set the brightness where you want.

Yes I made a thread about it. Nothing you can do about it and I don't think there are many sights that account for the light where you are aiming as opposed to where you are.

Just use manual mode. That what I do when I use the rifle it's on for HD

So is that something u can turn off? Or do you just up the brightness?
Is the solar an option that has value or would u guys opt out given a second choice?

Try manual mode.  The solar cell will continue to power the unit when it is exposed to light but the brightness will be manually adjusted.

Yes. Hold the + button on for three seconds and if you're looking through it you'll see the reticle disappear and then come right back. You're now in manual mode and can adjust brightness via the + and - buttons. In addition to that you can get rid of the circle and just have a single dot by doing the three second thing with the - button. Also, it'll remember what setting you leave it on when you turn it off so no need to keep doing it.
