Has anyone installed the above referenced forend grip on their AR? If so, I'd love to read your opinion on it, good or bad. I've recently put one of their fore end grips on my AK and it's REALLY made a very favorable difference. I also have their pistol grips on both my AR and AK. The only thing that, well, the two things that I don't like about them are their color and price. Please speak up as you may be saving me a bunch of $$$ if you have an unfavorable opinion. THANKS!

I have an olive drab 12 inch one on a cz v-22 dedicated upper . its very light weight and rock solid . I drilled and tapped it for a sling swivel stud . if you dont need to hang a bunch of stuff on your rifle then by all means go for it .

I put one on one of my lightweight hunting carbines to replace an aluminum free float tube. I love it. The rubber grip is much more comfortable in temperature extremes. Not too hot to hold in hot weather and isn't a freezing chunk of metal in winter.

They make a clamp on rail section with stud for the front. Kinda spendy for what it is but I'll probably try one so I can put a light on for night hunting.

With the carbine HG you have to re-bend or buy their pre-bent gas tube to make it clear the tube during install.  I bent my own using a cheap brake line bender. They provide a template to match your bend.  Very easy. It is a little smaller diameter than a regular tube which adds to the comfortable grip IMO. Also is why the carbine gas tube has to be bent a little different for clearance.

Not what most are looking for in a tactical handguard but with a couple mods could probably be used for that. Don't now how the rubber would hold up to the very extreme heat created from a few mag dumps though. For what I'm using it for it is perfect and I intend to buy another for one of my longer hunting ARs. It is a big improvement over a regular FF tube for rifles that aren't going to be ran FA or see major mag dumps.
