They are good to go, My brother had a 16" Heavy barrel HS which was a great rifle, He got into a pinch and sold it but can probably get it back if he gets the cash. I'd buy one if the price was right.

My buddy is a dealer, so I got the HSTX6551SS. Flat top w/ rail, 14.5" Stainless barrel for $550, brand new out the door. I was just wondering what everyone else has heard about them. I've shot about 2k rounds in the last 2 months with no problems. I think it is an excellent gun. I am just beginning to shoot semi-autos, love shooting bolt actions, so I don't know much about ARs.

If it shoots well, it's a keeper. Who cares what other thinks? It serves you well, that's all that matters.
