1) LMT 16" CQB Piston upper/Bushmaster lower with Geissele SSA-E trigger, Optic 552 Eotech, Comp was a battlecomp
2)Adams Arms 16" Evo Ultra lite/Bushmaster lower with Timney trigger, Optic 552 Eotech, Factory Comp
3)LWRC M6 SPR 16"/LWRC lower and stock trigger, Optic EXPS-2, Factory Comp...was purchased as complete rifle

All 3 were brand new weapons, All 3 shot 62gr FAXM855PD  5.56 62GR GREEN TIP, All 3 were at 50 yards. All 3 shot from a bench, All 3 functioned flawlessly, All 3 hand guards got hot. All 3 bolts were cool, All 3 were 16"

I first shot the LMT. That weapon is truly built like a tank. Like driving an H1 Hummer, No frills, Somewhat heavy, No failures of any kind. I could not group them very well. Circle was 6". Geissele trigger on the LMT was the nicest of the three with the Timney a very close second and last was factory LWRC. I have a trigger pull gauge that I will test them at and report back...trigger pull is 2#'s ONCE you take up the slack (the first stage is 3.2 pounds of resistance then it breaks at an even 2#'s!

Second was the big surprise to me and that was the Adams Arms Evo lite. I was able to shoot tighter groups and felt recoil was less than the LMT with battlecomp. The gun feels very nice much like a sports car. Again Zero failures of any kind. Upper was very nicely built.....the Timney trigger is a single stage and breaks at 3.5#'s.

Third was the LWRC SPR. It is extremely smooth and quality abounds in this gun. Everything about it exudes quality...very much like a BMW. Zero failures...I haven't measured the trigger pull yet but my guess is 4.5-5.5 pounds...probably closer to 5-5.5..UPDATE 8/13/11 OK HERE IS A BIG SHOCKER...I Tested it with my Lyman trigger pull gauge just the same way as the others...it was 9.5POUNDS!!!! That's right 9.5# pull. I tested a Rock River Elite operator DI gun that I have and it was at 5.5#'s..

All in all it was an extremely successful day at the range. I have to say I was quite surprised by the Adams Arms Evo lite. It did everything well and was easiest to shoot well. Second in line was the LWRC M6 SPR. I think that I could shoot this gun much better with out the factory trigger. It was at least 4-5 pounds heavier that the Geissele and the Timney. I suspect I can group much tighter with s different trigger which would put the LWRC in front of the pack. Next in line was the LMT with the battlecomp. Not sure why I could not group very well with it as it had the best trigger and tightest fit of upper and lower receiver. I will take it back out again and possibly try a different comp. I am sure I left out a bunch of stuff so feel free to ask. I am 49 years old and have been shooting for close to 37 years. I typically shoot handguns and am just getting back into AR's.  I am no longer in my prime by any means...LOL

Nice post, but the best test would be all 3 uppers tested on the same lower because of large trigger variances.  Eliminates some variables.

My first thought as well

I am adding the exact same Giessele trigger to the LWRC SPR. I can put them all on the same lower..I was trying to compare three different complete rifles not just the uppers!

Here is an update. I was pretty upset over the grouping I got with the LMT MRP CQB so I went back to the range today with 55gr and 62gr. I got pretty much the same groupings as before so I even took off the battlecomp to see if that was causing any issues. Here is a picture of my BEST grouping of the day. I shot about 100 rounds of 55gr and 62gr...there seemed to be no difference between the two at only 50 yards. I am going to call LMT tomorrow. I would think it could do better than this when bench rested and bagged. What do you guys think?? Basically it is close to a 2 1/2" grouping at 50 yrds...

What are you comparing exactly?  There are too many variables and your shouting isn't really good enough to be doing comparisons it looks like...

I really was just comparing the feel of three different piston AR's at 50 yards. I was actually surprised at how much the groups were not tight! Here is a picture of my shooting with a Glock 19 with night sights at 20 yards hand held....much tighter groups than the Ar's! I would have expected the AR 15's to be very tight especially because they were bench tested. I have been shooting pistols far longer than the AR's. I have grouped my Sig X5 level one off hand at 50 yards the same as the LMT...that is why I was wondering if there is something wrong with the LMT

The AR is definitely capable of much better accuracy, I would use match grade ammo for a comparison test to refine the results.

The grouping in your pictures is what I had expected. The Adams Arms and the LWRC SPR will be no problem to group like this. I think something is wrong with the LMT

I think it may be your breathing/trigger pull.If like you said you shoot handguns more than ARs then I would practice more on the rifle.Go prone and sight in the rifle that way.

I also have a LMT MRP CQB 10.5 and shoots about the same maybe slightly more accurate with same ammo.

I have not shot any match ammo so cant comment on it.
